This three night dance series is sure to spice up your summer as you join us for an evening of live music and dancing at the Kraft Athletic Club. Reed Meyer & Marah Lovequist will be joined by a full horn section & classic big band as you dance the night away. Enjoy dance favorites including: swing, tango, foxtrot, hustle, rhumba, waltz, blues, cha-cha and more! This spacious venue is great for all kinds of dancing, mingling or just enjoying the sweet sounds of NE Florida’s premier big band. This event is BYOB so please, drink responsibly and have a wonderful time! Light snacks and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Sounds on Centre are free concerts that are held on First Fridays from April through October (with the exception of May when it will be held on Thursday, May 4 right after the Shrimp Fest parade). Sounds on Centre is located at the intersection of Second Street and Centre Street in Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach Florida. Shows are 6:00 – 8:00 PM and feature local talented musicians that always put on a great show! Fun for the whole family. Sounds on Centre T-shirts will be available for purchase. Raffle drawings will be held throughout the event with prizes donated by local community businesses and retailers. All proceeds go to advertising efforts of the organization.

Into the Woods, the award winning musical by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim, combines a number of familiar fairy tales and shows us what happened after they lived happily ever after. Familiar characters include Jack (and the Beanstalk), Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Cinderella, and others, and have added the new tale of the Baker and his Wife to bind together all their stories into a cohesive whole.
