Community Improvement Project
Welcome to Amelia Surf & Racquet Club
At Barefoot Amelia Beach Rentals, we are committed to keeping our guests informed about upcoming community improvements at Surf & Racquet Club.
The condominium association is currently planning a community improvement project expected to begin on or around August 17, 2026, with an anticipated duration of approximately 14 months. The information below reflects what we currently know and will be updated as additional information becomes available.
Project Scope
The planned improvements include:
Recoating the breezeways
Replacing the breezeway railings
These improvements are intended to preserve and enhance the community for years to come.
What You Can Expect
During the project, guests should expect construction activity, including construction-related noise.
Based on the current plan:
Work is generally expected to occur Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Work may occasionally occur outside of those hours if necessary to maintain the project schedule.
Construction is expected to progress through the community in phases.
Generally, two floors of a building are expected to be closed at a time while work is being completed.
Construction Schedule
The construction schedule is developed and managed by the condominium association in coordination with its contractor.
Barefoot Amelia Beach Rentals is an independent vacation rental management company. While we do not control the construction schedule, work locations, or project timing, we will update this page as new information becomes available.
The current anticipated construction sequence is:

If Your Reservation Is Affected
Because construction scheduling may change throughout the project, there may be occasions when a reserved unit becomes temporarily unavailable due to building or floor closures.
If this occurs, our team will make every reasonable effort to relocate your reservation to a comparable accommodation.
As the largest vacation rental management company at Surf & Racquet Club, we manage numerous units throughout the community, giving us more flexibility than any other management company to relocate guests when construction requires it. While relocations cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance, we are committed to communicating proactively and working to provide the best available solution whenever possible.
