The Game’s Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays

Amelia Community Theatre presents Ken Ludwig’s “The Game’s Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays. It’s Christmas Eve and actor William Gillette, famous for playing Sherlock Holmes on Broadway, has invited his cast to spend the holidays with him at his Connecticut mansion. When there is foul play, all the houseguests become suspects, and it is up to Gillette and the local police inspector to solve the crime and restore good cheer. Performance at 2 PM on December 9 at 207 Cedar Street, Fernandina Beach. The show is rated PG-13 for mild adult language and situations.

This race will surely get you in the Christmas spirit! All the events start and end at Main Beach Park on Amelia Island. The 5k and kids runs will run through the north part of Main Beach neighborhoods, where you will be welcomed by cheering neighbors and Christmas carolers throughout the route! The 1/2 marathon will also run the 5k route but will get the opportunity to run through our beautiful state park Fort Clinch and our historical neighborhood, Old Town. Finish your race at the park with an ice cold beer or Christmas cookies baked by locals. Especially for the kids we have a great Kids Zone with plenty to do and bounce houses and a special appearance by Santa!

Dickens on Centre

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ novella “A Christmas Carol,” Dickens on Centre transforms downtown Fernandina into a classic English village, sure to enliven your Christmas spirit. So grab your top hat, fasten your bonnet, and wander and wonder through a true Victorian Christmas on Amelia Island during the spectacular Dickens on Centre.
Build-A-Gingerbread- House Workshop with Ritz Carlton Pastry Shops
