How To Stick To Your Fitness Goals On Vacation – We have The Answers

Posted by & filed under Condos For Rent, Condos For Sale.

We all know the phrase “working on your summer body”, which made me think; why aren’t we consistent year round and how and when do we get derailed when we were doing so well. It seems to me that we set fitness and diet goals, work hard to stick to them until we get to flaunt our tighter figures on vacation while allowing ourselves to eat and drink whatever we please.  Could our vacations be the contributing factor to falling off track? There are many reasons for that, I’m sure and one that came to mind was lack of access and lack of information. That is how I decided on this month topics.                      joe

I am going to take you through health food stores,  farmers markets, fitness trainers, as well as many outdoor sports and activities that will not only help you stick to your routine, but could lead to some improvements that you’ll be able to take home with you.

One of the benefits of staying in one of our condos, is having access to a fully furnished and equipped kitchen. That allows you to prepare your own meals, that way you do not have to rely on eating out for every meal and can stay in control of your portions and calories.

Where to Shop:

I personally love purchasing my produce from farm stands and farmers markets. Terry’s produce is just up the street from the resort on A1A and is within walking distance so you can get your fruits and veggies while getting your steps in.

They carry local produce, honey bell oranges, Vidalia onions and organic honey.

The Savory Market:

Address:                              474380 FL 200, Fernandina Beach

Phone:                                                 904 – 432 – 8551

I have mentioned The Savory Market in one of my past blogs but I am happy that I can go into more details about this amazing small business.

The Savory market specializes in fresh, local produce, shrimp and meats, local honey, they are also known for their take away dinners. They are able to accommodate any diet from Paleo to vegan or gluten free. All of their meats are humanely raised, without the use of antibiotics.  I think their motto suits them very well “Farm to Table, Heart to Heart”.

I have the privilege to personally know the owners as well as their dedicated staff and can assure you that everything there is made with lots of thoughtfulness and love.

Fernandina Beach Market Place:

Address:                              North 7th St, Fernandina Beach

A great, not so little farmers market. They set up every Saturday from 9am – 1pm and host over 40 vendors each week, year round, rain or shine.
